"Personally Identifiable Information"

Personally Identifiable Information (PII) refers to any data that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the individual to whom it pertains. This includes, but is not limited to, name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, financial details, social security number, and credit card information. PII specifically excludes information collected anonymously (without identifying the individual user) or demographic information that is not linked to an identified individual.

What types of Personally Identifiable Information are gathered?

We gather basic user profile details from all Visitors. For our Authorized Customers, we also collect additional information such as name, address, phone number, internet protocol (IP) address, and email address.

Who is responsible for collecting the information?

Apart from our own data collection practices, our third-party service vendors, such as mortgage lenders, insurance brokers, and title companies, may also gather this information from our Visitors and Authorized Customers. These vendors offer services like mortgage lending, mortgage insurance, escrow services, and title insurance. While we do not oversee how these third parties utilize such data, we do request that they disclose their practices regarding the use of personal information obtained from Visitors and Authorized Customers. Some of these third parties may function solely as intermediaries in the distribution chain and do not store, retain, or utilize the information they receive.

How is Personally Identifiable Information utilized by the Site?

We utilize Personally Identifiable Information to tailor the Site’s experience, offer relevant services, and facilitate transactions for buying or selling on the Site. We may communicate with Visitors and Authorized Customers via email regarding research opportunities, buying and selling options on the Site, or related information. Additionally, we use Personally Identifiable Information to respond to inquiries promptly and provide requested details.

Who may have access to this information?

Personally Identifiable Information concerning Authorized Customers and other non-personally identifiable data will be accessible to our staff and third-party service providers who aid in managing our Site operations or other services we provide. Personally Identifiable Information about Authorized Customers may be shared with other Authorized Customers and real estate service providers, such as mortgage lenders we collaborate with, who may evaluate potential transactions with other Authorized Customers and/or us. Additionally, we may share aggregated information regarding our Visitors and Authorized Customers, including demographic details, with affiliated agencies and third-party vendors. We also provide the option to “opt out” of receiving communications from us or any agency acting on our behalf. Our employees, agents, third-party service providers, and partners are contractually obligated to use Personally Identifiable Information exclusively for providing our Services and may not utilize it for any other purpose.

Information provided by Visitors may be disclosed as part of any merger, sale, acquisition, or financing involving our company. Moreover, we may be obligated by law to disclose Visitor information to government authorities, including law enforcement, Homeland Security, and intelligence agencies. We cooperate with law enforcement to identify individuals using our Services for illegal activities and reserve the right to report any activities we believe to be unlawful or in violation of our Terms and Conditions.

How Personally Identifiable Information is stored?

The Personally Identifiable Information collected by the Company is securely stored according to prevailing industry standards and is not accessible to third parties or Company employees except as necessary for the purposes mentioned earlier.

What options do Visitors have regarding the collection, use, and distribution of their information?

Visitors and Authorized Customers have the option to opt out of receiving unsolicited information or being contacted by us, our vendors, or affiliated agencies, and may request information about their specific Personally Identifiable Information held by us. Which partners or service providers are granted access to Personally Identifiable Information from Visitors and/or Authorized Customers on the Site?

Upon request, Personally Identifiable Information will be functionally deleted, and we commit not to sell, transfer, or share such information outside of our business line.

Do our Visitors and Authorized Customers have rights against discrimination when exercising their rights to protect their Personally Identifiable Information?

Under the law, we do not discriminate against Visitors and Authorized Customers for exercising any of their rights regarding their Personally Identifiable Information, as outlined here. This means we do not deny goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level or quality of service based on these rights. However, we may offer different services and rates if these differences are reasonably related to the value of the consumers’ data.
